These Terms and Conditions govern the contract between Popular Painters and Decorator Limited (The Company) and the Client.

1. Estimates and Bookings

  • Estimates remain valid for 30 days.
  • Acceptance must be in writing.
  • Written acceptance forms a binding contract.
  • Booking dates are provisional until confirmed.

2. Payment Terms

  • Deposits are non-refundable.
  • Progress payments may be required.
  • Final payment is due upon completion.
  • Late payments incur daily interest.
  • Overdue accounts face collection fees.

3. Client Obligations

  • Clear all furniture from workrooms.
  • Remove fragile items and artwork.
  • Provide clear access to property.
  • Supply free electricity and water.
  • Secure pets during working hours.

4. Company Responsibilities

  • Carry full public liability insurance.
  • Use agreed materials and brands.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Clear away project debris daily.
  • Protect fixed items with dustsheets.

5. Delays and Alterations

  • Weather may delay exterior work.
  • Written variation notes require signatures.
  • Extra work incurs additional costs.
  • Hidden defects cause timeline extensions.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • Give 7 days cancellation notice.
  • Late cancellations forfeit the deposit.
  • Short-notice cancellations incur labor charges.

7. Complaints and Warranties

  • Report defects within 7 days.
  • Rectifications apply only to company mistakes.
  • External paint longevity depends on weather.
  • Warranty excludes natural building movement.
